Nebraska Extension’s Conference of Engagement, Connection, and Opportunity
February 22-24, 2023
University of Nebraska-Lincoln Campus
In order to better engage the research and teaching of our University with Greater Nebraska, Nebraska Extension is hosting the AMPLIFY Engagement Conference on campus. This is an opportunity for on- and off-campus faculty, staff, graduate students, and community stakeholders to come together to learn about key issues facing our state and create partnerships to contribute to the public good. Collectively, we can AMPLIFY our engagement and create a stronger Nebraska.
Outcomes
As a result of the AMPLIFY Engagement conference, Nebraska Extension and campus-based partners will:
- Be a part of the co-creation and activation of new and existing ideas for campus faculty and Extension to engage with communities/stakeholders to contribute to the public good.
- Understand the “why” and “what” of engagement as it relates to our work and the N|2025 strategic plan.
- Harness the assets of the campus to be used statewide as appropriate.
- Explore best practices to make engagement successful.
As per the Carnegie Designation: Community engagement describes the collaboration between institutions of higher education and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.
AMPLIFY 2023 is part of the on-going work Nebraska Extension will be doing to further promote connections, engagement, and the long-term success of Nebraska.
