Cancer in Focus Webinar

Content

As discussed in the January UNMC/Nebraska Extension Partnership Update and offer more education about available resources, we are excited to offer the following webinar on Cancer InFocus.  This will be held on Monday, March 30 at 11:00.  The meeting will be recorded.

The Cancer InFocus dashboard, developed by the University of Nebraska Medical Center, is an interactive, publicly accessible data platform designed to make cancer data more transparent, actionable, and community centered. It brings together cancer incidence, mortality, screening, risk factor, and demographic data in one place, allowing users to explore patterns across geography and population groups in Nebraska. The goal is not just to display data, but to support data-informed decision-making for community partners, researchers, policymakers, and health systems. By translating complex registry and population health data into clear, visual insights, Cancer InFocus helps identify disparities, prioritize interventions, and guide equitable cancer control efforts across the state.

Cancer is not isolated to one discipline or department; it is a population health issue that intersects with agriculture, nutrition, environmental exposure, rural access, youth programming, and social determinants of health across Nebraska. This system-wide training is relevant to all program areas and will strengthen our collective ability to respond with data-informed action.
