The following campus parking solutions are available for Extension professionals who do not office on the UNL campus. Please review closely to ensure campus parking compliance. All governmental vehicles not marked with UNL logos or specifically housed on the UNL campus (i.e. USDA in Keim Hall) must purchase a valid permit or pay hourly at a meter or in a Passport pay by hour lot.
County extension vehicles are expected to purchase a permit. Any clearly marked UNL Fleet vehicles may park in an Area A lot. UNL Purchasing Cards (P-Cards) should not be used to purchase any of the following fee-based permits.
Occasional Single Day Permits

This permit is valid for Area A lots. Simply scratch off
the date (month, day, and year). Display the date-
selected permit in your vehicle. If this packet is purchased by a department (e.g., county extension office), this permit may be used by multiple individuals on the day that it is valid. It is not associated with a single vehicle or license plate. They are sold in 10-packs for $40 ($4/permit).
County offices may purchase 10-packs of occasional single day permits by contacting Lori Bennett Baumli,
Assistant Director Parking and Transit Services, 402-472-8437 or lori.bb@unl.edu. Permits may be 1) charged to a cost object number or 2) invoiced to County Extension office. Do not use UNL Purchasing Card.
These permits may also be purchased at the UNL Parking and Transit Services Office on the south side of the parking garage located west of Memorial Stadium. Their office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Online Temporary Permit
This permit is available to purchase via credit card (Do not use UNL Purchasing Card) for 1-day ($7), 1-week ($18), 2-weeks ($28), 3-weeks ($38), and 1-month ($48) terms. They are available for Area A. Beginning July 1, 2022 UNL parking will be monitored using license plate recognition technology which means the license plate registered to the permit acts as the permit. Effective dates are set when purchased. Parking enforcement technology will read the vehicle plate to determine whether it has a valid permit.
Extension Loading Parking Space

This new special Nebraska Extension parking space will
be located on the west side of Agricultural Hall, just north of the west entrance, where the Extension Administration and State 4-H office are located.
Extension offices will be provided a print-on-demand special permit to use this space. See last page of this document. This special permit will also be available at the Extension Administration or State 4-H Office. This space is intended t
o be a short-term loading and unloading zone.
15-Minute Loading and Unloading Spaces
Please note that these spaces require a valid regular

(annual or nine-month), temporary, or occasional parking permit.
Metered Parking

UNL offers Passport Parking, a pay-by-cell service at designated parking spaces. With Passport, users securely pay for meter parking with a smart phone app. Users receive reminders and can add time to their meter from anywhere. UNL student, faculty, and staff must register their vehicles when parking at a metered parking spot. UNL meters have maximum time limits between 30 minutes and 4 hours, as displayed on each unit.
Special Event/Conference Parking

Organizers of large groups requiring campus parking are encouraged to purchase daily parking permits for participants and build this expense into their respective event budgets. Permits are $7/one day, $14/two days, or $18/three to seven days. Please contact Laurence Mota for details at 402-472- 8436 or lmota2@unl.edu.
