general guide
Medium-specific brand requirements help ensure greater brand alignment in the way communications are formatted, whether they be in social media, on a website, in video or print. Writing-focused brand requirements make it easier for all communicators to communicate with consistent language and, particularly, with consistent naming conventions.
All Nebraska Extension communication activities should adhere to the following branding requirements:
Visual
- Ensure that all visual content, including online or print posters, brochures, flyers, etc., prominently features the Nebraska Extension lockup.
- For printed publications, include the Copyright ©YYYY (print year) (if updated and reprinted in the following year(s), both years should appear, e.g., ©2013, 2014, 2015).
- Incorporate the Nondiscrimination statement:
- The University of Nebraska does not discriminate based on race, color, ethnicity, national origin, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, disability, age, genetic information, veteran status, marital status, and/or political affiliation in its programs, activities, or employment. https://nebraska.edu/nondiscrimination.
- Short Version: The University of Nebraska does not discriminate based upon any protected status. Please see go.unl.edu/nondiscrimination.
Accessibility
- For publications/content that invites audiences to an event, offers a service, or promotes in-person engagement in any way, include the following Accessibility statement with event-specific details.
- Accommodation requests for registration or attendance may be directed to [Name] at least two business days prior to the program at [email@unl.edu] or [phone number]. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet access needs.
